Is the email effective in getting the reader to do what you want them to do?<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2a0dfc3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2a0dfc3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">First and foremost, every email you send should have a purpose: an action you want the reader to take. Sometimes that\u2019s a link through to a sales page, sometimes it\u2019s a question you want them to answer and sometimes it\u2019s simply to read and process your educational content (e.g. a blog or a video).<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If there\u2019s an offer, is it clear what the offer is? Is there a clear call to action, with a link or invitation to call or reply to the email?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-da2faf4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"da2faf4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">2. Check the sender's name and email address are correct<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fc501e1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fc501e1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This is one of the easiest mistakes to make, and can be a tricky one to notice when it isn\u2019t set correctly. The sender&#8217;s name should match up with the company or person it was sent from, but I\u2019d always recommend it\u2019s a person\u2019s name rather than a company name.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4ea372d elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4ea372d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">3. Check your subject line<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8b7af20 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8b7af20\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Your subject line is the first thing a reader will see, and it&#8217;s usually what determines if they&#8217;ll open your email. You want to make sure that you have an interesting and intriguing title in order to get people interested and engaged with your content. Check that all links work, and point to the right place<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-26661bd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"26661bd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This may seem like an obvious one, but it&#8217;s worth checking just in case! Make sure that every link works correctly and doesn&#8217;t send people to an incorrect page or error message. Click each link individually before sending the campaign out.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-36acd6a elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"36acd6a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">5. Review your message for typos, grammar mistakes, or unclear sentences<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-80dde92 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"80dde92\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">When we\u2019re sending an email campaign, it can be easy to get so caught up with the important details that you miss something as simple as typos or sentence structure errors. To avoid this from happening, review your message carefully before you send it out and check for any punctuation, grammar, spelling or syntax errors. If spelling and grammar aren\u2019t your strongest skill, consider using a spell check or grammar checking tool such as Grammarly to make sure everything is in order.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fbc45ca elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"fbc45ca\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">6. Make sure you have permission to send emails to the people on your list<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-88a7385 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"88a7385\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This probably isn\u2019t something you\u2019ll need to check before each campaign you send, but it\u2019s important.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Of course, if you don\u2019t have permission, it could land you in legal trouble. But aside from that, it just isn\u2019t the right thing to do: if someone hasn\u2019t given you permission to email them and they see an email from you, you\u2019re already in their bad books, making it much harder to convince them why you\u2019re the person to listen to.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-810e1ea elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"810e1ea\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">7. Make sure you\u2019re sending to the right audience<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-556601c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"556601c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It\u2019s also important to make sure you\u2019ve selected the right lists to send your campaign to, particularly if you have lots of lists in your account based on different products they\u2019ve purchased or lead magnets they\u2019ve requested. You need to be certain that it will appeal to them in some way and give them relevant information they want or need, otherwise people may unsubscribe from your list without opening any of your emails again.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">TIP: In most email marketing apps, you can EXCLUDE lists of contacts from receiving a specific campaign, even if they appear on another list that you want to include.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-aa18143 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"aa18143\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">8. Test!<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8ead45d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8ead45d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Most email marketing apps have a feature to test your email in different email applications and against a range of spam filters so you can see whether your email is likely to make it into their inbox and how it\u2019ll be displayed when it gets there.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Send yourself a test email to give it the final seal of approval.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a77b71e elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"a77b71e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<style>\/*!
