Nathan Littleton

Hi! I'm Nathan, a 20 year-old entrepreneur from Birmingham, UK. I enjoy the challenges of business and working with other people, thriving on the feeling of fresh achievement.

I enjoy most things computer and web related, and have a love for football and music.

At 13, I started developing my own fledgling web design business - taking a hobby into what is now a successful enterprise. As a measure of my success, I was named Enterprising Young Person of the Year 2006 by the Institute of Directors. This led to significant media coverage through newspapers, terrestrial television and radio. My business is also an approved member of the UK Web Design Association.

In 2005, I began teaching a web design enrichment programme, WebWorks, with Nic Parkes. The course was aimed at 11-13 year-old students at a local school. It was a great success, which led to a repeat in 2007; it is expected to make a return in the coming months.

More recently, I took the position of Publicity and Event Manager organising the Rubery Festival - arguably the most talked-about event the village of Rubery has ever seen. This voluntary position was held for a little over a year, and the new committee is currently preparing for the 2008 Festival.

Having worked with Nic Parkes on an informal basis for a number of years, we sealed the deal by forming the Simply Associates Limited company in McDonalds late one afternoon. SA takes the WebWorks model to a new level, and the company currently operates the programme in schools throughout Hereford & Worcester. Other projects include 'Espresso,' barista training for independent coffee shops and a range of bespoke training courses.

On a separate note, I am currently working on a local enterprise network website which I hope will provide a useful resource for businesses and residents in my area.

I have also taken an interest in photography, and whilst I am only at a basic level, this has supported my web design work immensely. I look forward to learning much more in this field.

I now currently taking a 'transitional year' - possibly one of the most important years in my life, to decide where my career lies.

This site is a mainly informal look at me, my life and my interests...
